If you can’t get enough of Soichiro Yamamoto’s Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san manga and its anime adaptation, you’ll soon be able to enter its world and get teased by Takagi-san in a new virtual reality anime project. Kanagawa-based company Kayac has officially launched a crowdfunding campaign for the project on Japanese service Makuake, and it’s looking to reel in ¥15,000,000 (about US$141,540) to bring the VR anime to life.
The virtual experience will put fans in the head of protagonist Nishikata, who can sit in class next to Takagi-san, or even play beach ball with her in the virtual realm. There will be new original stories to go along with takes on chapters from the anime and manga.
The campaign will be accepting funds until October 30, with the goal of getting the Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san VR anime out into the wild this December.
