Knights of Sidonia Gets Compilation Film

Knights of Sidonia is the latest anime series to get the compilation film treatment.

The 2013 sci-fi CG animated series, which spanned 12 episodes, will be movieized by director Kobun Shizuno, who will add redone scenes and new sound effects. The film will open next March.

Meanwhile, work is gearing up on the second season of the series, which is set to premiere next April. Called War of the 9th Planet, it will be directed by the first season’s assistant director Hiroyuki Seshita.
