What you see above is the main cast of the upcoming stage musical adaptation of Naoshi Arakawa’s Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso manga, also known as Your Lie in April. Considering the subject matter, it’s certainly a fitting take on the material, and it’s coming to Tokyo Tatemono Brillia HALL in July of 2020.

Both Yuta Koseki (Mission of Love) and Tatsunari Kimura (The Prince of Tennis musical) have been cast in the lead as Kousei Arima, and Nogizaka46 member Erika Ikuta will be playing lead heroine Kaori Miyazono. Other cast members include Fuuka Yuzuki as Tsubaki Sawabe, as well as Kouki Mizuta and Takuto Teranishi as Ryota Watari.

Riko Sakaguchi (co-writer on Isao Takahata’s The Tale of the Princess Kaguya and Hiromasa Yonebayashi’s Mary and the Witch’s Flower) is on the script, with Frank Wildhorn (Death Note the Musical) composing the music.
