Little Witch Academia TV Gets New Trailer

Little Witch Academia, the little anime short that launched studio Trigger, is all grown up.

Luna Nova Magical Academy is making its way to TV, and we’ve got your latest peek at the series via a brand-new trailer courtesy Toho Animation.

The series is directed by Trigger’s Yoh Yoshinari, who’s helmed all of Academia up to now, and will be penned by Michiru Shimada, who wrote Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade.

The cast and characters from the original (that’s Megumi Han as Akko, Fumiko Orikasa as Lotte Yanson, Michiyo Murase as Sucy Manbavaran, and Yoko Hikasa as Diana Cavendish) are back for more academiaing.

Though TV series typically run on a much more demanding schedule than short and films, it looks, so far, like Yoshinari and company are pouring the same amount of love into every frame of the series.

Little Witch Academia will hit Japanese screens January 8, and will be streamed by Netflix.
