Sunrise’s Anime Expo 2018 panel had a huge surprise in store for attendees. The company revealed that it has teamed up with Legendary Pictures to produce a live-action Gundam movie. Legendary producers were on hand along with Sunrise President and CEO Yasuo Miyakawa and Bandai Namco Holdings President and Representative Director Mitsuaki Taguchi to reveal a brief teaser and a visual.

The visual and video both proclaim, “Co-production of the Gundam Live Action Movie has begun.” We’ll have to wait for more details, but in the meantime you can check out the announcement video below.
