Netflix to Hype Anime Even Further with New Documentary

Netflix is all about anime at the moment, especially when it comes to securing titles and slapping the “Netflix Original” logo on them. Now the streaming service is looking to stoke the hype flames further with a new documentary called Enter the Anime.

The documentary has host Tania Nolan exploring the history of anime, with a focus on the staff behind shows like Aggretsuko, Castlevania, and Kengan Ashura, among others. While those are indeed all Netflix shows—which is no coincidence, of course—it should be interesting to see some of the exclusive interviews featured in the doc.

According to Netflix’s official description, some of the interviewees include Seiji Kishi and Makoto Uezu (Kengan Ashura), Rarecho (Aggretsuko), Warren Ellis and Adi Shankar (Castlevania), Kozo Morishita (Saint Seiya), Yoko Takahashi (Evangelion music), and Shinji Aramaki (Fullmetal Alchemist).

You can see how Enter the Anime turns out when it hits Netflix on August 5.
