The Annecy International Animation Film Festival was host to the reveal of a new Mazinger Z anime film, with creator Go Nagai on hand for the debut footage. Now the official website has updated with both the teaser trailer and a new key visual for the film, which is listed as “coming soon.”

Mazinger Z is being directed by Junji Shimizu (One Piece: Episode of Choppper – The Miracle Winter Cherry Blossom), with Takahiro Ozawa (Tokyo Toybox) on the script, Takayuki Yanase (Mobile Suit Gundam 00) on mechanical designs, and Hiroya Iijima (Afro Samurai) on character designs.

A world premiere is planned before the Japanese premiere, with more information to come later.
