New Monogatari Book Teased

Monogatari, the long-running series of novels by NisiOisiN that’s served as the basis several Studio Shaft anime adaptations, is set to keep on rolling.

That’s according to the final page of the just-released 18th novel in the series, Zokuowarimonogatari, which teases the “next season,” entitled Tsugimonogatari. As always, the book will be illustrated by ZOfan.

NisiOisiN is a prolific writer, but Shaft is doing an impressive job catching up. The latest Monogatari project was the five-episode series Hanamonogatari, directed as always by Akiyuki Shinbo.

Meanwhile, a new site has launched in tribute to the Monogatari series. Called Monogatari Drops, it’s an interactive site that “drops” quotes from the series as you scroll down. Though it’s all in Japanese, it’s a cool piece of design work regardless.
