Sakura Wars is back.
Last month, we learned that the latest anime series in the much-loved franchise would be hitting screens this April.
Now we’ve got a bunch of fresh visuals and information about that series, including a key visual, trailer and some deets on brand-new characters.
The series, which is called Shin Sakura Taisen the Animation (that’s New Sakura Wars the Animation in English) will feature three new characters from a group called the Moscow Combat Revue, thought to have been destroyed in an accident.
The characters are:
Clara, played by Misaki Watada
Valery Kaminski, played by Kenji Akabane
Leila, played by Haruka Shiraishi
The series is directed by Manabu Ono (Sword Art Online: Alicization) and animated at studio Sanjigen. It’s written by Ono and Tatsuhiko Urahata (Hi Score Girl). Kohei Tanaka returns to the franchise to provide tunes.
