Next Dragon Ball Z Film Listed for April

As previously reported, Dragon Ball Z is getting another anime movie in 2015, and a Japanese theater recently listed a premiere date on its website. According to the site of Cinema City theater, located in Tokyo’s Tachikawa City, the next Dragon Ball Z movie will debut in Japan on April 25.

Cinema City’s site also lists a 120 minute runtime, but that tends to be the placeholder number listed by Japanese theater chains. The listed date puts the movie in theaters on the Saturday before the Golden Week holidays during which it was originally set to open, so it sounds about right.

This entry in the line of Dragon Ball Z anime films will tell an original story, with series creator Akira Toriyama handling the concept, screenplay, and character designs. Dragon Ball Z animation director Tadayoshi Yamamuro will direct the feature.
