You’ve heard the news about the Switch Lite. Now we’ve got word about the Switch… Long?
Anyway, if you were thinking of buying the Lite purely for its better battery life, now you’ve got a harder decision to make. Nintendo has announced they’ll be bringing out a new Switch later this year with better battery life.
The ol’ Switch gave you from 2.5 to 6.5 hours, while the new one will give you from 4.5 to 9.
By comparison, the Lite will give you 3 to 7. So, to review:
Old Switch: 2.5 to 6.5
Switch Lite: 3 to 7
New Switch: 4.5 to 9
The new Switch will ostensibly go for the same retail price as the old one at $300. It’ll hit Japan and North America this August.
Nintendo is also bringing out some new Joy-Con colors: blue and neon yellow, and neon purple and neon orange. Both new sets hit North America October 4.
Anybody thinking of switching out their Switch?
