Osamu Tezuka’s MW in (Live) Action

As a big fan of Osamu Tezuka’s dark drama, MW, I’m both skeptical and excited about the upcoming live action adaptation. On one hand, it’s just a tough thing to wrap my head around, but it should be interesting, and could potentially be a fantastic film if they handle it right.

If, like me, you can’t picture it either, then the video they’re now streaming on the official Japanese site… may not help much. Still, it’s a start, and a good way of celebrating the 80th anniversary of Tezuka‘s birth. Director Hitoshi Iwamoto’s film is scheduled for release in Japan next year, and the early peek below is worth a gander until an official full-length trailer is made.
