Pikachus Invade Yokohama

What’s the plural of Pikachu? If we follow standard Japanese-to-English grammar rules, we probably shouldn’t add an “s” on the end. But we’re going to make an exception here, because the singular doesn’t really convey how many darn Pikachus there are in Yokohama right now.

Specifically, one thousand (yes, one thousand) of the electric-type Pokemon are walking, hopping and pikaing around the city just south of Tokyo. Well, supposedly, anyway. We took a trip down and grabbed some photos, and while we didn’t quite catch ’em all, we still had quite the Pikachu experience.

It’s kind a bittersweet experience, really: we were really happy to capture the event in action, but are now a little sad that these are probably the cutest pictures we will ever post, ever.
