The Promised Neverland manga kicked off in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine back in August of 2016, and the final arc began in September of last year. Those keeping up with Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu’s series on a weekly basis will need to prepare themselves for a little downtime, though, because it’s taking a one week break and skipping the next issue of Jump.
The break was announced in this year’s 24th issue of Jump, which added that The Promised Neverland will return in the 26th issue that hits stands on May 27. The break was put in place to give Shirai some time to recover from health issues.
