Romance Anime Tsuki ga Kirei Premiere Date Revealed

We have been remiss in reporting any news on Tsuki ga Kirei (The Moon is Beautiful), the new romance anime from studio feel., but the announcement of its airdate has given us a chance to correct that error. Dig into the kirei details below.

Tsuki ga Kirei, which will begin airing April 6, is an original anime series (i.e. not based on a manga, light novel or what-have-you), and it’s animated at feel., who have both an annoying period in their name and a resume which includes Dagashi Kashi and My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!.

The series will be directed by Seiji Kishi, of Persona 4: The Animation, and scripts will be supervised by Yuko Kakihara of Digimon Adventure tri.

Tsuki centers around middle-school classmates Akane Mizuno and Kotaro Azumi and their relationships with friends, classmates, club members, teachers, and young romance. The moon will also ostensibly make an appearance.

Honestly, we’re a little underwhelmed by the plot description, but the names behind the project are pretty impressive, and the character designs by artist loundraw have a clean, unique look to them. We’re looking forward to seeing them in motion April 6.
