Sailor Moon Crystal season three is on the way, and the first visual was revealed today, showing off the new designs for the long-awaited Outer Senshi.
Season three will adapt the Death Busters arc of the manga, also known as the Infinity Arc.
The Outer Senshi, also known as the Soldiers of the Outer Solar System, include Sailors Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, a reminder that when Sailor Moon was originally written, dwarf 134340 was still considered a planet. Good times.
If these designs look a little different from previous seasons, that’s because the job of character designer has been taken up by Akira Takahashi (Dokidoki! Precure).
Mark these dates on your calendars, Sailor Moon fans: on January 27, the cast playing the Outer Senshi will be revealed. A little later, on March 26, a Sailor Moon panel will take place at AnimeJapan, where lots more information about the new season will be revealed.
