Second Trailer For Koike Lupin III Film Hits

We’ve been covering Redline director Takeshi Koike’s upcoming Lupin III film Daisuke Jigen’s Gravestone for a while now. We’re really excited about it, and we want you to be too, and we’re going to keep showing you stuff about it, every new piece of information, random interview, whatever, until it comes out. And hey, here’s a new trailer:

If you’re just tuning in, Daisuke Jigen’s Gravestone is a movie spin-off of 2012’s A Woman Called Fujiko Mine, telling the story of how Lupin and Jigen became partners in crime. Along with the new trailer is a heck of a lot of new information about the general plot of the film, including details on the bad guy, Yael Okuzaki, an assassin who prepares gravestones for his targets in advance. That would certainly seem to explain the title of the movie!

Daisuke Jigen’s Gravestone
will be airing at Tokyo’s Shinjuku Wald 9 theater between June 21-27, followed by a home release. Wait… that’s next week. Expect a review.
