Viz Expands Neon Alley as Anime Streaming Brand

Viz Media announced an evolution for its Neon Alley subscription service, which is officially taking over as the distributor’s digital streaming anime brand. Starting April 1, all of Viz’s weekly episodic anime programming will make the transition to Hulu and the subscription-based Hulu Plus under the Neon alley banner.

This move will not only bring Neon Alley and Viz’s shows to the on-demand streaming services via browsers. Users will also be able to watch shows across a variety of devices, including PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Roku, Chromecast, and mobile devices that support Hulu apps.

The Neon Alley website will become the home for all of Viz’s free streaming anime—including first-run simulcasts for shows like Naruto Shippuden—that were previously available via VIZAnime.com.
