Voice Actress Saki Ogasawara Goes on Hiatus for Cancer Treatment

Saki Ogasawara, the voice actress behind My Hero Academia’s Itsuka Kendo, will take a hiatus to undergo treatment for tongue cancer.

On Monday, Ogasawara shared the news she was diagnosed with stage 1 tongue cancer with fans on Twitter. 

She added that the cancer was found in its early stages, that she will devote herself to treatment, and return to her work. She also thanked all those who are supporting her.

In addition to Itsuka Kendo, Ogasawara is known for playing Azusa Nagajo (The Irregular at Magic High School) and Charuni Kusakube (Heaven’s Memo Pad).

Here’s wishing Ogasawara a complete and speedy recovery.
