Wish Upon the Pleiades Makes Its Blu-ray and DVD Debut

Subaru just wanted to visit the observatory and gaze at the stars, but she ended up getting much more than she bargained for in the process. Before she knows it she’s whisked away on an intergalactic adventure with a group of magical girls, all of which turn out to be classmates, including her childhood friend Aoi. Together they’re tasked with retrieving fragments of an alien spaceship that have been scattered across the universe, and they’re not the only ones embarking on this quest. 

This kicks off an intense race against both time and a mysterious boy who wants to gather all the parts for himself. Will our heroines be able to beat this strange nemesis to the punch, or will they be forced to see what happens when the spaceship lands in the wrong hands? 



Wish Upon the Pleiades originally debuted as a net animation before making the leap to a full series, and it comes from legendary anime studio GAINAX (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gurren Lagann). Shouji Saeki (Medaka Box) directs, with Mai Otsuka (Shakugan no Shana) handling character design and chief animation direction.
