The next project director Yuichi Fukuda (Gintama) has on the slate is a live-action adaptation of Fujita’s Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku manga, which is set to open in Japan on February 7, 2020. Ahead of that, the official site went live with two new cast announcements and the first look at the film’s cast in costume.
The latest additions to the cast are Nanao as Hanako Koyanagi and Takumi Saito as Taro Kabakura, joining the previously announced Mitsuki Takahata as Narumi Momose and Kento Yamazaki as Hirotaka Hifuji. Nanao previously worked with director Fukuda when she played Matako Kijima in Gintama.
Here’s the first visual, which mimics the covers of the second and first volumes of Fujita’s manga.
