X JAPAN leader YOSHIKI has some big film contributions planned for this year. The composer and musician has partnered with The H Collective to write the theme song for the next installment in the xXx franchise, which has Vin Diesel getting back into the action in xXx 4. The movie is currently in the casting stage, and principal photography is set to kick off this year.
YOSHIKI is also working on the theme song and music for an animated action spy comedy called Spycies, which is in the works at Chinese entertainment company iQiyi. The movie premieres in Chinese theaters on August 8.
Here’s what YOSHIKI had to say about it: “I’m excited to be part of the new xXx film and Spycies, composing the new theme songs and collaborating on the film scores.”
